In addition the isolates were positive reaction with dot-immunobinding assay and immunoflourescens microscopy. The causal bacterium identified as Eewinia amylovora according to cultural, biochemical and physiological characteristics and carbon source utilization as determined with the Biolog system. Results of pathogenicity test demonstrated that all isolates were pathogenic on immature pear fruitlets. The causal bacterium was isolated and tested for pathogenicity. Results showed that all orchard observation has been confirmed the existence of fire blight disease in Egypt. This study aimed to control the disease by the integration between biological or chemical means and fertilization trearments. Fire blight of pear (Pyrus communis L.) caused by Erwinia amylovora (Burrill) Winslow et al., 1920 is a disease of major importance in Egypt.
